Jenny is a registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and an Associate Member of the Australia Psychological Society (APS). She holds a Masters degree in Psychology, a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, a Bachelor degree in Psychology and a Bachelor degree in Commerce. She is an accredited treatment provider for Medicare & WorkCover NSW.
Jenny has worked in corporate and vocational rehabilitation settings prior to her current experience in private practice. Her primary focus today is exclusively in private practice as the Founder of Mindful Psychology Practice providing therapy, treatment and counselling for adults and older adolescents. In her role she has worked extensively with people presenting with depression, anxiety, stress, life transition difficulties and trauma-related issues. She uses evidence-based therapies, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness strategies and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) into her work with clients.
Jenny possesses deep passion in helping her clients to build resilience and reach their full potential. Her treatment approach comprises of empathy, optimism, a touch of humour and the commitment to her clients that a way forward can be found for them to enact the changes to enable them to live a valued and meaningful life. Her approach to therapy is collaborative, motivational and adaptive to individual needs.
Jenny’s key areas of interest and expertise include: depression and mood disorders; anxiety and panic disorders; life goals and directions; relationship difficulties; workplace conflicts; addictions; trauma and post-traumatic stress; grief and loss; addiction-related disorders. Her special interest also lies in helping her clients overcome their stresses of modern society, particularly during times of transition and adjustment to new life circumstances.
