About  Jenny

Jenny is a highly experienced and compassionate registered psychologist and the founder of Mindful Psychology Practice. With extensive experience in corporate and vocational rehabilitation settings, she has developed a deep understanding of the unique challenges that individuals face in their work environments. Jenny is passionate about helping her clients build resilience and achieve their full potential. Her current focus is on providing assessment, treatment, and counselling services for adults and older adolescents in a private practice setting.


Jenny is known for her warm and empathetic counselling style, which is highly effective in creating a supportive and non-judgmental environment for her clients. She adopts a flexible approach to therapy that is tailored to meet the unique needs of each of her clients. Her therapeutic style is motivational, optimistic, and infused with humour, and she strongly believes in a collaborative and evidence-based approach to therapy. Jenny draws on a range of evidence-based therapeutic approaches, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT),

Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy and Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT).  She has a particular interest in working with adults and older adolescents, specialising in anxiety, mood disorders, adjustment disorders, trauma, relationship issues, grief and bereavement.


Jenny is also passionate about helping clients navigate life transitions and challenges in modern society. She is deeply committed to helping her clients cultivate mindfulness and self-compassion as a means of achieving greater well-being and resilience in the face of life's challenges. She values the mind-body connection and integrates mindfulness practices into her daily routine. In her free time, she enjoys spending time in nature, especially by the water, as she finds these activities to be rejuvenating.

Credentials

Jenny is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, a member of the Australia Psychological Society (APS) and a member of the Australian Association of Psychologists (AAPi). She is a trained EMDR Practitioner and is a member of the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). She holds a Masters's degree in Psychology, with a Second Class Pass for her master’s thesis. Jenny also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, a Bachelor's degree in Psychology and a Bachelor's degree in Commerce. She is an accredited treatment provider for Medicare & SIRA (WorkCover NSW).
