Are you struggling with issues related to depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, or major life changes? There comes a time when managing alone may not be the best way forward and reaching out for a safe space in which to help us manage distress, achieve greater clarity and regain balance is a sound investment. As a Psychologist, I am passionate about working with individuals to help them identify strengths and coping strategies, heal from past and present difficulties, and live a life that feels rich, meaningful and happy.

CREDENTIALS 

​

Jenny is a Registered Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia, a member of the Australia Psychological Society (APS) and an associate member of the EMDR Association of Australia (EMDRAA). She holds a Masters degree in Psychology, with a Second Class Pass for her masters’ thesis. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychology, a Bachelor degree in Psychology and a Bachelor degree in Commerce. She is an accredited treatment provider for Medicare & WorkCover NSW.

EXPERIENCE 

​

Jenny has worked in corporate and vocational rehabilitation settings prior to her current experience in private practice. Her primary focus today is exclusively in private practice as the Founder of Mindful Psychology Practice providing therapy, treatment and counselling for adults and older adolescents. In her role she has worked extensively with people presenting with depression, anxiety, stress, life transition difficulties, interpersonal difficulties and trauma-related issues. She uses evidence-based therapies, integrating Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance & Commitment Therapy (ACT), Mindfulness strategies and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) into her work with clients.

Jenny possesses deep passion in helping her clients to build resilience and reach their full potential. Her treatment approach comprises of empathy, optimism, a touch of humour and the commitment to her clients that a way forward can be found for them to enact the changes to enable them to live a valued and meaningful life. Her approach to therapy is collaborative, motivational and adaptive to individual needs.

Jenny’s key areas of interest and expertise include: anxiety and panic disorders; depression and mood disorders; interpersonal difficulties (relationship, workplace or family dynamics); emotional regulation difficulties, overthinking, perfectionism, procrastination, stress management; grief and loss. Her special interest also lies in helping her clients overcome their stresses of modern society, particularly during times of transition, adjustment to new life circumstances and navigating life directions and challenges.

With a passion for the mind-body connection, Jenny incorporates mindfulness practice into her daily routine, she loves the water and enjoys her long walks in nature.
